10 BASICS ABOUT THE LAW OF ATTRACTION

Have you heard of the Law of Attraction?

Simply put; we create our own reality via the Law of Attraction (hereon called LOA for short).

It is often stated as “Like attracts like” or “What we send out, we get back”.

Like a magnet, we attract the experiences in our lives by this universal law. Knowing and understanding how it works can truly transform your life!

The following is my attempt to explain it in simple terms. I hope you find value in it!

1. THE LAW OF ATTRACTION IS ALWAYS IN ACTION.

It cannot be turned on and off or put on pause until you figure out what you want. It is working for you and for me and for everybody else all of the time.

All of the time! For everyone! Yes; including you!

2. YES, YOU HAVE ATTRACTED IT!

Just because you didn’t want it or don’t like it, doesn’t mean you didn’t attract it. Whatever you have in your life of things, people and experiences are there because you have attracted it.

You might not like the idea at first, but as soon as you realise that this is the fact, your life will transform! You will see how powerful you truly are!

3. YOU SEE IT WHEN YOU BELIEVE IT!

LOA does not listen to your words and does not respond to what you say you want, it responds to what you believe in and how you feel about it.

It is of utmost important that you understand this!

If you say you want something but you don’t have it already, it is a pretty clear sign that you do not believe it can happen and/or that you somehow don’t feel you deserve it (yet).

4. LOA DOES NOT JUDGE!

LOA is not separating so called good from so called evil. It is neutral. A vibration is a vibration. Like attracts like. It doesn’t judge.

Whatever you send out (or vibrate) you will attract. It doesn’t matter if you are a so called good person or not. For LOA we’re all equal. You offer a vibration, the Universe answers by giving you more of the same.

5. YOUR EMOTIONS CARRY THE KEY TO A HAPPY LIFE!

LOA is always in action. Therefore, pay attention to how you feel and what you are thinking about when you’re not feeling so good. Do you want to attract that into your life? Of course not.

Whenever you’re feeling a negative emotion, make it your highest priority to get yourself into a better mood. In any situation where you don’t have what you would like to have, let your emotions guide your actions and pay attention to the words you use when you speak about your ‘dream’, because your words are reflecting your true beliefs about the topic in question.

6. LOA DOES NOT UNDERSTAND “NO” OR “DON’T”.

Stop talking about and paying attention to things you don’t want or don’t like. It doesn’t matter how much you keep telling yourself or others what you don’t want. You still won’t get the opposite.

As long as your attention (and consequently your emotions) is on what you don’t want more of, LOA keeps sending you more of what you say you don’t want. Your emotions send vibrations out and the universe responds with more of the same.

Feeling bad, here’s more ‘bad’. Feeling bubbly and giggly, here’s fun and laughter. Feeling lonely, here’s loneliness for you. Feeling worse than before, here’s even worse than that. Get it?

Get clear on what you really want and make it a new hobby to keep your attention on what you do want and what you do appreciate, love and like. You’ll get more of it, you know!

7. ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN LIFE AND HAPPINESS.

We can keep creating our reality by default or we can choose to become deliberate creators. Most of what you are experiencing now would be in your life because of default attraction. Do not blame or shame yourself for this, because these emotions will only attract more of the same. Be kind to your mind and start listening to your own feelings and take your emotions seriously.

How you feel is everything! Make yourself your highest priority. It isn’t selfish, it is necessary! When your life works well and you are happy, you spread happiness around you to everyone you meet.

YOU ARE ONLY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR LIFE, NOT FOR OTHERS’. I am not promoting selfishness or ‘bad behaviour’, I’m just stating a fact of life. Your life is your responsibility and other people have the responsibility for theirs. Your responsibility is to make your life the best possible for you. Other people have the same responsibility for their happiness. Go for it!

8.THE WORLD IS YOUR MIRROR.

This is LOA. Whatever you meet in the world outside of you (in the mirror), is there because you have attracted it. Instead of denying the fact that you have attracted it (and instead of blaming others for unpleasant experiences), try to find what emotion within you that this scenario is reflecting back in ‘the mirror’.

It is so freeing!

Just as with an actual mirror, you cannot expect to see a reflection of anything that you are NOT holding up in front of it. What you give out, you get back. Often we aren’t aware of what we’re giving out until reality is staring us in the face.

Make it fun to figure out how you have attracted this reality. Accept your responsibility. Know that if the mirror reflection shows a face that is poking tongue at you, you will have to stop poking your tongue out for the mirror to stop showing you that image.

9. YOU CANNOT FIX EVERYTHING IN YOUR LIFE OVER NIGHT!

There is often a time delay in your receiving the thing or experience you wish to attract. This is because of old thoughts that have been gathering momentum, possible for years. It is also because we usually can’t stay focused on only one thing for too long. Our minds are occupied with lots of different thoughts and we perform lots of different actions during any one day. Our emotions will tend to shift accordingly.

When we first start out changing our lives by accepting responsibility for our own experiences, it’s common to think that all things will suddenly be great in our lives. Don’t fret when you realise this isn’t happening. The emotional state you’ve been in up until now has gathered a certain momentum and it will often have to be played out in your life before a major shift happens.

Sometimes it might be very hard to experience the aftermath of old thoughts and emotions and you might even feel you’re going backwards. But don’t punish yourself. You didn’t know what you now know and couldn’t have foreseen this or prevented it. Know that from now on things are going to be better. You will gradually become better and better at learning from you mirrored life experiences what you need to change in yourself in order for your life to reflect what you truly want.

Also, remember that we’ll never be DONE with this work! We will always have new ‘wants’ and wishes, new goals and plans. Happiness is not a destination, it’s the journey.

10. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.

As long as you can think it and feel it, it is possible. The universe is constantly expanding. LOA does not understand 'no'. Be creative and imaginative and trust you own inner guidance (yes, you got it; your emotions!) to lead you forward into the life of your dreams.

Don't worry about HOW it's going to happen. The Universe is allseing and all knowing, we are only small and cannot foresee all possibilites and options. Trust that the Universe knows how to get you were you want to be as long as you stay emotionally in vibration with your dream.
